The pupils of one village school at Mji Mwema are determined to visit Zanzibar and see for themselves what they always hear people say about this island in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Tanzania.

They potray a spirit of self-reliance and commitment when they decide to raise money for the trip themselves. Through entrepreneurial and social activities, the pupils demonstrate to the whole village how education has transformed them into better people. In the end, under the guidance of Mwalimu Babyu the pupils successfully make a boat trip to the Island.

In Zanzibar, they blend with the local people and engage in everyday activities, learning and living the culture of Island, they learn its history and enjoy its beuty as they visit many prominent historical and tourist attractions.
